ServSafe Certification and recertification information.
ServSafe certification is valid for five years. However, this requirement may vary depending on the local requirements in your area, and possibly your own organization's standards. You should follow the most stringent guidelines.

Each candidate may recertify by taking the ServSafe Certification Exam prior to the applicable date of expiration.

If any instructor has questions about their state's requirements, they should contact their State Restaurant Association and state or local health department for more information.
